Uploading Files Through FTP?
#1
Is there anyway that files can be uploaded through my FTP client?

Because many customized themes require uploading images/graphics that are specific to that theme.

Plugins also require FTP file transmission.

... OR...

Allow Admins to use the File Manager Plugin which will require us to upload that onto the website, but once that is completed, then we can use the File Manager to do what we need to do for the website.

Hi Serpius.

We cannot allow directly uploading all kind of files, since malware could be uploaded this way as well.
However, we are working on a File Manager that will allow users to upload their files to use for their themes.

Meanwhile, I can upload the files for you and prepare your theme XML file to work with the new asset locations, just send over your theme ZIP folder to mark@ulties.com and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

No thanks.

I'm not going to wait 24 hours for files to be uploaded.

Files can be automatically checked for viruses and malware on the server side and there is very little wait time for the file checking to take place.
How do you think every website hosting company protect their server assets? They use file checking protocols for that very reason you mentioned.
Failure to do this is asking for trouble.

I will close my account immediately and go elsewhere.

As I said, we are working on a system like that, but it is not ready yet.
Also you don't have to wait 24 hours if you send it over now, since I am available right now.
But if you send it in later I could be out of office and cannot promise to respond fast to your issues.
